Finally!

Ok, finally i have internet at my place so i can put here my feelings, thoughts, photos more often.

These days are so hot, i can` t stand it. The average temperature is 38!!!! And in this weather i am walking in navy blue suit hehe :D after few minutes i am swiming in my clothes.

Sometimes i am thinking that chinese are even too polite. Everytime i want to pay for something they say that i am a guest and they will pay. It is very hard to explain them that i want to buy them something also.

Chinese people do not say thank you if they know each other.

Another thing is that they do not say: enjoy your meal.

Of course in China you can smoke everywhere you want- restaurants, shops, pubs, hotels, streets.

Today it was my first time in chinese gym :D It is different than in Europe. Here there are more activities such as badminton or table tennis than equipments for bodybuilding.  Generally not many people attend but the good thing is that even old people play for instance badminton and they really enjoy it.

Ok soon i need to go to work :D

Stay tuned

Chinese culture

It was another crazy day during which i have met more things about chinese people. It was the first day of my work, it is nice, really easy job and it showed me how perfect everything must be. Politness it at the highest level.

Finally after work i had an opportunity to talk more and get to know more chinese people. Some of my co-workers took me to the supermarket to help me in shopping. You can`t even imagine how they tried to help me with everything - what to buy exactly. Sometimes i have the impression that they are too polite, it is a new feeling for me. After buying things we went to eat chinese dinner. Soooo many dishes, we really did celebrate our meal. Of course we shared price which is very nice. After this....
They took me to KTV- karaoke. It is very famous in their country, everybody has to sing something. Even though my voice is not very good i gave them this pleasure and sang something in english. After this, all of them sang a song in chinese for me.

Despite the fact that they don`t speak very well in english, they are very very friendly.

Of course, some photos :) Stay tuned.

My department

Today again it was such a tiring day. Because of meeting so many new people and introductions from people from my department i have a real headache. I have moved to dormitory and it is like normal flat (small living room, bedroom and private toilete) kitchen is outside is in the corridor but i think i will not use it very often ( 3 meals are provided by the hotel) and it is 3 minutes from my dormitory.  Today it was more a training day, so i will start from tomorrow on :) cross fingers for me and stay tuned :D

Second day in China

Ok, second day is almost finished and again i have learned a lot from chinese people. This day, after breakfast i had to go to the local police office in order to register myself here in DanYang. Fortunately Kevin (chinese guy) helped me with this. New experience, police officer was very likeable and when he heard chinese word from me, he smiled. Generally because DanYang is a very small city ( 800 000 people ) there are no many people from abroad. I have an impression that everyone is looking at me in a curious way, kids were waving their hand to me. Nice feeling :D. I met some co-workers from my department but unfortunately they did not speek english. For sure i can say that their hospitality is at the highest level but either they are shy or they have problem with foreign languages. In the evening i had another lesson HOW TO EAT in China :D i really feel like a kid who has to learn even basic things and  i need to learn much more about it. My boss tried to do her best to make me feel like a very important guest. Untill now i don`t feel like a person who is going to work here, more like VIP. Tomorrow will be my first day of working so i will have many news :)

BTW. You can set up a bank account in China in 10 minutes :D and finally somebody spoke good english :D

To show  you a little how hospitable chinese are i am puting photos of my room.

First day - tiredness but big satisfaction

After a very long flight and tiring day, which was full of new things i can lay on the bed and think what have happend already. First shock was the wheather, 37 degrees and very high level of humidity. I hardly could breath. Especially after being in Poland where the climate is completely different. My new chinese friend picked me up from the airport and we decided to eat in the city center. Can you imagine 18 lines of metro :D? In every station there were so many chinese that it was very easy to loose my guide. City center of Shanghai is very beautifull but also much different than these in Europe. It looks more like New York with many very high buildings. Everything is  cheap in comparison to Europe. For example you can buy original Nike shoes for 200 rmb ( more or less 100 zł).  Food is very delicious. My friend took me to a chinese restaurant in which i could see precisely how do they eat. First though after eating - I need to train with chopsticks. It was a funny look  to see how inexpertly i use them. The second thing is that chinese order many things and put in the middle of table to share with others. Strange for me was spitting ON THE TABLE things that you did not eat. The good thing is that with chopsticks i really could enjoy the meal .

After this tiring day, finally i arrived to my hotel in which i will work. Autstandingly beautiful.
Ok, tomorrow another day so i need a lot of energy to live it :)

There are still few days before my departure to China. The country which  seems to be so different than the whole Europe. I don`t know why but i truly don`t feel any fear for an unknown place which is Asia for me. In place of fear, i rather feel butterflies in my stomach, i am very excited about it. I will write this blog mostly for myself in order not to forget memorable moments but also for you, maybe one day you will also decide to discover China. So if you are interested, feel invited to live my life in China with me.
